Emmanuel Macron: France Elects Its Youngest President

France Welcomes Newly Elected Youngest French President Emmanuel Macron
Emmanuel Macron has emerged the youngest French president in the just concluded France presidential polls.
Pro-European candidate, Macron easily defeated far-right National Front leader Marine Le Pen after a bitter contest.
The voter turnout for the elections was around 74%, the lowest for a run-off in almost 50 years.
Le Pen conceded defeat and said she called Emmanuel Macron to congratulate him.
In her concessionary speech, she said:
“The French have chosen a new President of the Republic and have voted for continuity.
“I want to thank the 11 million French who have given me their vote and their confidence.”
A record number of French voters supported the far-right leader.
Macron supporters, who gathered outside the Louvre museum in central Paris, broke out in wild cheers and waved the French flag as the news came through.
Macron Elected Youngest French President Ever
Macron, youngest french president ever, is himself expected to address the nation shortly.
He has promised to fight division and promote hope and reconciliation among the french people.
